Price calculation
Automatic shipping cost calculation based on weight and location. My system is very accurately based on location and weight. If you are still unsure about the given shipping price, contact me for extra verification.
Packaging
I use stiffeners in the card box mailers and that these make sure your records don’t get damaged. I also use brand new mailers with corner protection. The several layers of cardboard create protection but increase the weight of the parcel.
Delivery time
The delivery of the package to the postal services can take up to 3 business days maximum, as I have a full-time job. Please take note of that, if you want your items to be shipped immediately contact me first to ask if that is possible. After the package is handed over to the postal service, the time of delivery varies on your location, turnovers, organisation and other circumstances of the delivery service. I use average delivery times. Those times can vary; be faster or a little bit slower. I hope you understand that and can be patient. Record collecting is never good when you are in a hurry.
Shipment tracking
A tracking number will be provided once the items are shipped. You can track the items on the website of the delivery service.
Grading of records
Compact discs
I don’t grade jewel cases of compact discs:
“Cover” is the grade of the booklet insert and the inlay
“Media” is the disc itself
- Mint compact discs are only graded mint if they are still in sealed packaging
- Near Mint compact discs are in not sealed packaging but are mostly new having no scratches or visible marks on the disc
- Very Good Plus discs have visible marks but don’t affect the playback of the compact disc. Note that this playback can be different on several compact disc readers. Items can be returned if not functioning properly with your player.
cassettes
I don’t grade jewel cases of cassettes:
“Cover” is the grade of the booklet insert
“Media” is the cassette itself
- Mint cassettes are only graded mint if they are still in sealed packaging
- Near Mint cassettes are in not sealed packaging but are mostly new having no scratches or visible marks.
- Very Good Plus cassettes have visible marks. The playback of the tape is without problems. Note that this playback can be different on several tape players. Items can be returned if not functioning properly on your player.
Vinyl
Vinyl records are graded according to Goldmine standards:
- Mint is only used for absolutely perfect records with no flaws at all, often when I bought the record new and just stored it. Often still sealed records.
- Near Mint grades are used for opened but unplayed records with no signs of use on the disc and the vinyl labels. On sleeves no signs of use as well. Sleeves might have some signs of storage. Vinyl might have signs of getting it out the dust sleeve for taking pictures and grading purposes. Like fingerprints or superficial hairlines, that can be cleaner or won’t affect playback.
- As soon as a record is played once, it’s graded Very Good Plus. The Very Good Plus grade for the cover means there are signs of use and age. See product photographs for assessing the grades of the sleeves. A used record with no audible cracks except maybe in the beginning. This is usual for played records, since the touch down of the needles cause audible cracks after some plays.
Damaged upon arrival
In case of damage at the time of arrival caused by postal service during the shipment, a partial refund will be given in proportion to the degree of damage. Photos will be asked. Damaged items can also be returned in original packaging, you need to negotiate with me first, concerning shipping method. After the arrival of returned parcel, money of the order will be fully refunded.
Note that damage is prevented by my way of packaging. But this policy is added for completion reasons and just in case.
Total loss during shipping
In case of total loss, an (international) investigation will be started. Results of this investigation will determine the refund. Items have tracking numbers. The postal service needs to be held accountable by the sender. Contact me first, I will do everything necessary to file a complaint.
Withdrawal
Before shipment
You have a right of withdrawal for your purchase. If the item is not yet shipped or you withdrew before shipping of the item, order will be cancelled per buyer’s request, order total including shipping will be fully refunded.
During shipment or after arrival
Once the item is shipped, you wait until the items arrive and send the package back to me. Or refuse the parcel upon delivery. Items will be refunded after items are returned to our address. Buyer pays for that return shipping. Items are to be returned within 7 days after receival date. Items need to be well packaged, preferably in the original packaging. Condition of the item can’t be less than before I shipped the item or the amount of the refund will be reconsidered.
Local pick up
Items can be picked up locally. Email me to make an appointment for date, place and time. Please make sure you can pay through your bank application or have the exact cash amount. No items will be delivered without payment.
