Rise Above

Rise Above was Belgium’s first Straight-Edge band that was formed during the end of the 80’s. The members were Hans, Edward, Hazel and Sling. They wrote three classic songs for their first record. And the second record was their farewell release as the band continued to grow into Nations On Fire and other members went separate ways. They pioneered the Straight-Edge way of life and vegetarian ethics in Belgian Punk and were inspired by the first wave of Hardcore Punk in America.
